February, the shortest month of the year can also be the sweetest one, only if you know where to spend your time at.
In case you took your resolutions seriously after reading my past post, it’s time for a relaxing vacation to break up the remaining winter months. Whether you want to hit the slopes without the crowds, hit up a grand Carnival party or seek that perfect romantic escape for Valentine’s Day, these February vacations have it all.
The Dolomites mountain range in northern Italy provides the perfect backdrop for a spectacular ski holiday. The Dolomites mountain range has been awarded the World Heritage Site status by UNESCO for its exceptional natural beauty.
There are two main ski areas here: Dolomiti Superski (dolomitisuperski.com) and Skirama Dolomiti (skirama.it).
Dolomiti Superski is the largest, with 1200km of ski runs that connect up 12 valleys, whereas the Skirama Dolomiti in the western Brenta Dolomites, with 360km of pistes reaches up to 3000m altitude.
Highlights include the famous Sella Ronda ski touring route, where skiers can spend a whole day circling the towering Sella massif.

While the temperatures might not invite frollicking in the Mediterranean, the clear blue skies and crisp February air is ripe for discovering the quieter side of the French Riviera with thinner crowds.
Menton, once known for its abundance of lemons, has a microclimate making it warmer than its surrounds, and while it may be less glamorous than its showy neighbours – Cannes, Nice and Monaco – it’s still got a lot to offer.

February is the best time to visit for the quirky Fête du Citron (Lemon Festival), with sculptures and floats made from tonnes of lemons and oranges that make their way along the seafront. The festival runs from 13 February to 2 March.
Daytona Beach, Florida

There isn’t really a bad time to go to Hawaii, but for a Valentine’s Day getaway the sunsets, scenery and beaches you need to be here.

While not thought of as a budget destination, there are plenty of budget options for people to choose from once you leave those resorts on Waikiki beach!
The weather is beautiful and it makes a great getaway for romance or for the entire family.
